Emotional Needs Support Assistant – 1:1 support

 

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, starting in September, to support a child with emotional needs that include trauma who is currently in year 2 on a 1:1 basis in mainstream school.   This is a very exciting and rewarding position for the right person.  As progress is made there will be the opportunity to work with other children in the school with similar needs such as ASD and attachment.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

Highly Motivated with clear expectations of the role

Experience of working within a school environment with children with emotional needs

Has experience of working with other professionals e.g. CAHMS

Has a positive attitude, is well organised, flexible and enthusiastic. 

Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

Professionalism and confidentiality.

 

 

Hours of work:  30 hours per week term time only – 8.45am – 3.15pm  (half an hour lunch break)

Salary:  Grade 6 – £19,945 – £22,021 pro rata (£13,469 – £14,871)

This is a permanent position.

Special Needs Teaching Assistant 

 

We are looking to appoint a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, starting in September, to work with children on a 1:1 basis in our Communication and Interaction Resource Base.  The base has children with a wide variety of needs including ADHD; are on the Autistic Spectrum; or need behaviour and communication support.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

Professionalism and confidentiality.

 

Hours of work:  30 hours per week term time only – 8.45am – 3.15pm  (half an hour lunch break)

Salary:  Grade 6 – £19,945 – £22,021 pro rata (£13,469 – £14,871)

This is a temporary position initially for one year.
