This term our value is Encouragement.

Welcome back . I hope you are all ready for another exciting term. As this term’s value is Inspiration, we will continue with our Topic and Science themes and produce impressive work inspired by the above. In Geography we will be focusing on developing our knowledge of the Amazon Rain forest and its inhabitants as well as the expansion of palm oil plantations and their impact on the global warming.

We will persevere with our SATs preparations, making sure that we are ready and relaxed when the time comes!

In Art this term we have been learning how to use watercolour pencils. We looked at the animals and plants which can be found in The Amazon rainforest.

Here is a small selection of our pictures:

We started with sketching and then went over our sketch with a black felt tip.

The pictures were now ready to be painted. We used watercolour pencils to add vibrancy to our creations.

This week our P4C question is….

This week we were discussing Lance Armstrong.  We learned about his sporting achievements, his ill health and his cheating scandal.

The question we voted on this week was: ‘Why was Lance Armstrong punished so publicly, when lots of other athletes also cheat?’
