This week we have been discussing the rise and fall of Lance Armstrong. The question we voted on is: ‘Should all athletes be able to take performance enhancing drugs?’
Our topic this term is Greece and Ancient Greece.
During the early part of term, we will be studying how the ancient Greeks enjoyed themselves by looking in more depth at the Olympics and Greek theatre. . In DT we will be designing and creating Greek masks as worn in famous Greek tragedies and comedies.
Our science topics will be forces and changing materials. We will be carrying out investigations and looking forward to Science week this term.
Our class book continues to be There’s a boy in the girls’ bathroom – by Louis Sachar. This is an American book and is set in a school, where we will meet Bradley and Jeff Fishkins. We will also be looking at poems by famous authors.
Homework is sent home every Thursday or Friday and is due on Tuesday of each week.
