Our Value this term is encouragement. We will be looking at this in our P4C sessions and working on an encouraging attitude within class and with our friends.

Last term we created moving CAM toys in DT. This term, we will be learning about textile art.  It should be really exciting and hopefully we will create pieces for our October art exhibition. There will be lots of new skills to experiment with.

 

Our new topic this term is- EXTREME earth- and we will be finding out and explaining how different extreme weathers develop and form.  If you want to know about Tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes then ask Olive Class children.  They will soon be experts.

Mental Health Week 2022 

We have been developing our teamwork skills and dance moves by looking at traditional Greek dance.

                 

 

We had a team activity afternoon and worked on a range of activities in groups. We thought about the different roles that might be important in a group.

       

In science we have been working in teams to investigate problems.

   We have used our team working skills when investigating materials in science.  

 

Our topic this term is:

The geography of modern Greece and then the history of Ancient Greece.  We will be reading a range of Greek myths and looking at a famous ancient Greek poem.

Useful Information

We will be swimming this term on Mondays.  Please ensure you have your swimming kit with you and a swimming hat.

Our topic this term is a geography and historical project based on Greece and Ancient Greece.

In science we will be finding out changing materials and reversible versus irreversible changes.

.We will be starting our new class book – There’s a boy in the girls’ bathroom by Louis Sachar.

Homework is sent home every Thursday or Friday and is due on Tuesday of each week.

Please do ensure that your child wears their PE kit to school on our PE days, which will be on a Thursday and Friday.  Please also ensure that your child has their own water bottle to bring to school and indoor shoes for this term, since the field is very muddy.

 

Our trip to Stonehenge Last term- The best day ever. So amazing to see all the things we had been learning about.
